What is a preheater cyclone immersion tube? The preheater cyclone immersion tube, also called preheater dip tube or preheater hanging plate, is a crucial component of the cyclone preheater in cement plants. It is installed at the upper part of the preheater cyclone and serves the following functions:
Separation Function: The cyclone immersion tube helps create a more uniform gas-solid suspension, which improves the separation of raw meal from hot gas, reduces dead zones where material can accumulate, and prevents clogging.
Heat Function: The cyclone immersion tube optimizes the gas flow path, maximizes heat exchange, and minimizes heat losses, resulting in lower fuel consumption, improved kiln feed preheating, and higher overall thermal efficiency.
Equipment Protection: The immersion tube plays a protective role for the cyclone, especially in the lowest-stage cyclone. It shields the cyclone from direct heat and high-velocity gas flow, reduces erosion and abrasion, and prolongs service life.

AGICO Customized Preheater Cyclone Immersion Tube
The AGICO cyclone immersion tube is composed of modular elements, which makes it available for cyclones of various sizes. The immersion tubes inside the cyclones of different stages in the preheater vary in material, structure, and size.
C1Cyclone: The operating temperature of the C1 cyclone is relatively low, typically around 300°C, so an integrated cylindrical immersion tube is used. This structure is less prone to damage and is suitable for use at lower temperatures.
C2 & C3 Cyclone: The operating temperatures of the C2 and C3 cyclones are relatively high, typically between 550°C and 750°C. Therefore, a hanging plate cylindrical immersion tube is used. This structure is easy to install and adjust, improving operational reliability. The hanging plates need to be installed with uniform gaps to ensure the separation efficiency of the cyclone.
C4 & C5 Cyclone: The operating temperatures of the C4 and C5 cyclones are the highest, typically between 750°C and 950°C, and the working conditions are harsh. Therefore, they use the embedded composite hanging plate immersion tube, which allows for periodic replacement. This structure is prone to corrosion and deformation in high-temperature and alkaline environments, so special attention must be given to maintenance and replacement.
